Mourn Me Not Today Choose Tribute 1 - Mourn Me Not Today For the ones I left behind, I want you to know what I had in mind, I thought of you all before I died. I loved you so much, I could have cried. He put out his hand for me to go, I had not time to let you know. Mourn not for me today, nor sorrow take, however, love each other for my sake. Weep not love ones, but be content. Our lives, you know, are only lent. The grave is but a bed, you see; Prepare yourselves to follow me. In love we lived, in peace I died. You asked for my life, but God denied. Whatever you do, just please be kind. “He Welcomed Me Home,” with open loving arms. To my family and friends, please do not worry about me, because I am home with God and there is no better place to be. | I’m Free Choose Tribute 2 - I’m Free Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free. I’m following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard Him call. I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found that peace at the close of day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah, yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been full, I savored much. Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me. God wanted me now. He set me free. |
We Will Miss You Choose Tribute 3 - We Will Miss You A precious one from us has gone. A voice we love is still. A place is vacant in our hearts which no one else can fill. After our lonely heartaches and our silent tears, We will always have beautiful memories of the one we loved so dear. Servant of God, well done! Rest from thy love employ. The battle is fought, the victory won. Enter thy Master’s joy. | Tribute Choose Tribute 4 - Tribute If we could have a lifetime wish A dream that would come true, We would pray to God with all our hearts For a yesterday and you. A thousand words can’t bring you back, We know, because we tried; And neither will a million tears, We know, because we cried. You left behind our broken hearts And happy memories too. But we never wanted memories, We only wanted you. |
Footprints Choose Tribute 5 - Footprints One night I dreamed a dream. I was walking along the beach with my Lord. Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonging to me, and one to my Lord. When the last scene of my life shot before me, I looked back at the footprints in the sand and to my surprise, I noticed that many times along the path of my life, there was only one set of footprints. I realized that this was at the lowest and saddest times of my life. This always bothered me, and I questioned the Lord about my dilemma. “Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You, You would walk and talk with me all the way. But I’m aware that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why when I needed You most, You left me.” He whispered, “My precious child, I love you and will never leave you, never, ever, during your trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.” |
When I Must Leave You Choose Tribute 6 - When I Must Leave You When I must leave you for a little while, Please do not grieve and shed wild tears and hug your sorrow to you through the years. But start out bravely with a gallant smile; and for my sake and in my name live on and do all things the same. Feed not your loneliness on empty days, but fill each waking hour in useful ways. Reach out your hand in comfort and cheer and I, in turn, will comfort you and hold you near; and never, never, be afraid to die for I am waiting for you in the sky. | We Will Never Forget Choose Tribute 7 - We Will Never Forget The blow was hard, the shock severe; We never dreamed your death so near. But only those who love can tell The pain of parting without farewell. God give us strength to face this blow, What it meant losing you, no one will know. To hear your voice, to see your smile, To sit and talk with you awhile; To be together in the same old way Would be our dearest wish today. But loving memories never die As years roll on and days go by; In our hearts a memory is kept Of the one we love and will never forget. |
God’s Heavenly Garden Choose Tribute 8 - God’s Heavenly Garden Sometimes God picks the flower that is still in full bloom; Sometimes the rosebud’s chosen, we feel He’s picked too soon. Sometimes the flower is fading with petals floating down, But God knows the perfect time to gather flowers from the ground. There is a heavenly garden in which God takes great pleasure Because He’s placed within it the loved ones that we treasure. He walks among the blossoms giving them eternal rest, And I know that it must please Him Because He chose our very best. | Miss Me, But Let Me Go Choose Tribute 9 - Miss Me, But Let Me Go When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom-filled room. Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little, but not too long and not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared. Miss me, but let me go, For this is a journey we all must take, and each must go alone. It’s all a part of the Master’s plan, a step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick at heart, go to the friends we know, and bury your sorrows in doing good deeds. Miss me, but let me go. |
He Only Takes the Best Choose Tribute 10 - He Only Takes the Best God saw you getting tired And a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around you and whispered, “Come to me.” With tearful eyes we watched you suffer and saw you fade away, Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. | II Timothy 4:6-8 Choose Tribute 11 - II Timothy 4:6-8 "For I am ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight; I have finished my course. I have kept the faith; Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown for righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." |
Psalm 23 Choose Tribute 12 - Psalm 23 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. |
